Entry for Gorman’s “Show us Your Scrubs” competition

“Hello! Wominjeka!” was my entry for the 2024 Gorman “Show us Your Scrubs” competition. Inspired by a colourful print that I had already started, my concept was a colourful and eye-catching design that would make people of many cultures feel welcomed and accepted. In a healthcare setting, I hoped that this print would make patients feel a little less isolated.
I researched the most common second languages in Australia when adding the speech bubbles on this print, making sure that the print was relevant to our community. The design is a seamless tile, making it easy to translate to a fabric print.
I might not have won the competition but I still think this print deserves to be seen on scrubs one day
